Zhahiem Spann is charged with murder in the first degree and multiple weapons offenses, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago and Neptune City Police Department Chief Matthew Quagliato said.
On Tuesday, March 4 at 11:31 p.m., Kaylib Paul was found with stab wounds outside a residence on the 200 block of West Sylvania Avenue. Paul, a Neptune Township resident, was rushed to a hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries then next day, authorities said.
An investigation by members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Neptune City Police Department determined Spann was responsible for the stabbing, authorities said.
